Need a little help

My buddy has 2 12" subs that are 2300 watts, 4 ohm, DVC, 1150 RMS. He needs an amp but what size? Heres what I have gathered online. Any help is appreciated.

Well judging from what you have given for specs I'd get an amp that puts out 600w to each sub. Boss has never been known for quality so I would start with that and see if they hold up

Ok, so he should get a 2 channel 1200 watt? any suggestion on brand?

Yeah 1150w rms and I mean true rms will ruin one of those. Budget would help us with amp to recommend but all in all I don't think he will be happy with those subs.

If he's on a budget look at the Rockford fosgate r750-1d. It's 1ohm stable and does around 900 rms

He says he dont really have a set budget on the amp, he just wants a good one.

What would you suggest over the subs he has?

Well first I would suggest that he sells those subs. Secondly I don't like to assume so please share with us the year, make, and model of the vehicle that it will be installed in.

Or the sundown sd3 as they are shallow and still have great output in a small box. Good 1200w amp should cost 300+ bucks with a couple of diamonds in the rough out there like the ppi 1000.1.

RF r1200-1d for 240.00 all day. A little cheaper if you shop around
