Hello rammers... lol

So i installed some new speakers that was recomended for me from people and crutchfield, Kenwood KFC-1665S , front and rear, and Kicker 41DSC354 tweeters...

After installing everything, using adapter clips, so no splicing or anything... i am getting a chirp or a click... i turned the base all the way down thinking it was too much for the 6.5 speakers... nope still chirps... both stock speaker and this speaker are 4 ohlms.... so im lost... anyone?

so i have been reading up, ithink the issue is the impedance, the stock speakers have 4 ohlms on printed on it, but i guess their 2... and the new speakers are 4

The impedance shouldn't make your new speakers chirp. is there a specific instance on when they do chirp?

I thought there was but not really... does it at idle drving its all constant... or like every 20 secs its a little clhrip, or clipping...

Should i return the speakers?

the factory speakers have 4 ohms printer on them...

Sounds like you are getting a signal induced over the wiring, what head unit are you using?

I would see if the stock ones are 4ohms with a digital multimeter and then go from there. Chirping in car audio doesn't make sense in my head as it wouldn't really have anything to do with resistance. Yes the 5.0 does some goofy things when you hook up aftermarket speakers but I don't think that's your problem.

I need to listen to it a bit more I'm moving my gf out of school don't have time to just sit...

I think I am on to something...

Before the speaker change Bluetooth sounded ****... Chirped popped cut...

Now with new speakers they are so clear that the I can hear the iPod doing it but not as much as Bluetooth...

Because when I listen to xm... For the few moments I didn't hear the sound... My inference is... The sources suck... Could that be it?

Been reading other forums and some say 2 ohms others say it's 4.... The back of speaker is printed 4 ohms....

Wish I could swap the 5.0...

base audio should be 4 ohm, if it was present before, then I bet its conenction to 5.0, or radio/amp itself.

Since I have the 5.0 I cannot swap it... What should I do?

If its under warranty (bumper to bumper) let dealer know.

Can I swap it with another radio? Either 8.4 or after market..

Or is there an update?

Bumper to bumper should cover that. Adding an amp would make it worse actually and I believe you can swap the 5.0 out to an aftermarket. I would try to find the issue first before spending a ton of money though.
