New Uconnect 8.4 for 2017

Read an article on how the new 8.4 Radio will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Anyone thinking about the logistics of swapping one of these in to a 2016 or older model?

I have a 2016 1500 with 8.4a and the Alpine system. Highly interested in any input you guys might have.

I would love Android auto! Then I don't need to worry about my navigation needing fixed!

Pretty sure the harness is different so it is a no go.

There is like 76 threads on this very topic here. The only Chrysler vehicles that currently have the next generation UConnect with CarPlay and Android Auto are the Charger, Challenger, and 300. The 2017 RAM has the same features as the 2016. To my knowledge, nobody has tried an actual factory radio from one of those cars in a RAM.

Do you mean a 2016 8.4 rado? I have one for sale, havent reached enough posts here yet to post it lol. Ill shoot you a PM.
