pull the plastic kick guard off of your parking brake and unplug the sensor that might help

You need a lock pic, it reads the speed data over the can bus lines, dont start hacking parking brake wires. i got my v.4 on ebay for 175 shipped last year. This will also also to program that nav while driving.

the Lock pick is really the only way to go with this matter.. like dave said it goes off when the truck is moving and does read speed. If you have the GPS with your dvd unit the lock pick will give you the "Full" functions of your gps as well while driving.

My brother in law has a 2011 and he was talking about trying to "re-wire" it to work. The biggest problem with that I see is that if you ever have a problem with the radio and need to get a replacement, you may be out of luck if the dealer sees you've hacked up the wiring.

With the lockpick, if anything with the radio goes wrong, all I have to do is unplug it and remove it. That's the nice thing about plug and play.
