Plug adapter

Ok guys need your advice. I bought the following cause according to amazons Fitment tool it would fit.

But when I go to connect it, it doesn't fit cause my plug looks like this

What am I missing ? Point me to the right one ?

The one you bought plugs into the bumper. I don't know what your holding on that last pic. Is that hanging from under your truck

Yes sir it is. Underneath. I have the led ram sign that goes in your hitch. That I would like to hook up

Here is was you need. Should fit right in the bumper too for the factor spot.

It plugs in between the connector you have pictured and the one it was plugged into.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say it goes here. I didn't notice this when I bought the truck. Truck noob problems.

I don't know if could use the factory spot though, since I want to connect this

If you want to do that and pull trailers get the one you just posted and the one averageguy posted then you can do both

op, you could always go to where ever you are going to purchase your trailer and let them hook everything up with the correct parts.

Right. I didn't realize you were missing the plug on the bumper. I used this for my led bar under the tailgate so I could hide the wires and still use the 4 flat on the bumper, no splicing.

I'm just hoping all the connectors work. Still trying to figure out how the first one I got, did not fit

They look identical and look like it should fit. Lol. To the naked eye. It looked so similar I didn't try it until it was to late to return. Now I'm stuck with it.

I'm a truck newb and I am learning. Mind telling me, what connector I have ? It is not stock ?

So you have the stock wiring harness, by not the 7 way RV plug or the 4 flat. The one you have you could use to plug into the 7 way RV connector. But will be redundant if you buy both of those adapters.

What you bought was a 7 way RV adapter to 4 way flat. That is used if your vehicle came with a 7 way RV plug but you needed it for say a U-Haul with a 4 way Flat plug. Hopefully that makes sense, its early and I'm only halfway through my first cup of coffee!

Same here [emoji102]. I'll find out tomorrow when they get here. This time I will check it right away. Instead of leaving it to an assumption and being stuck with it.

Hmm wonder if Wally World will take it in exchange for store credit.
