Can you program a new key fob for a 2014 SLT or does this year require you pay someone to program it. From what I am reading, it seems you cant do it on your own. Thanks.

You have to pay the dealer but cheaper if you can find a locksmith who does it

Well, I got the fob for 10 bucks, so will try not to complain about the programming cost. New key fob definitely cuts in to the mod budget. Lol...

The Stealership only programs key fobs bought from them which cost something like $250+. Than you gotta pay the programing fee.

I bought a fob of amazon for $20 and had a used car Stealership program for me for $100. Took them about 10 minutes to do, and they even washed the truck for free.

If I could just be the guy who gets to program 4 fobs a day, I'd be catching a hell of a lot of fish! Lol....

Ill probably try a local locksmith when I get around to it... I'll post the cost once done..

That would be nice, right. But the guy that is actually doing the programming at the dealer only makes $18 off that programming fee. Most dealers charge half hour labor.
