Question quad cab sub setup question

Register to remove these ads. It's free!
I want to add a 10 inch sub under the seat in the back. What is a good box to use for this setup? I don't want the sub to hit the fold out thing under the seat. Do I need to remove this thing?

I would also like to keep the factory head unit. What line out converter should I get?

If someone could be so kind as too reply with some internet links where to purchase said items or any advice, would be appreciated greatly.

Point me in the right direction for adding a sub!
Thanks,

A fox box is arguably the best box, ones on ebay are fine, the box will require removing the folding tray thingies.
link to fox box.

Here's a link to a member who did a DIY on installing a line out converter, and he has the link in there to the proper line out you'll need. I've heard the MTX thunderform is best(google it) but they only come in a dual sub and i'd like at least one tray folding out thingy, so i'm probly going to go with the fox acoustics, just not sure if i'm gunna go 12" or 10". Hope this Helps

there is a also a PAC harness that plugs inline with the factory harness and gives you rca cables so that you don't have to splice into wires like you do with a LOC

any box you put under the seat is going to be big unless you stay with a 8". Has to be close to the proper volume for the speaker to sound good.

I haven't check to see if mine are going to fit yet but I have boxes from my 3rd gen with 2 mtx 10" subs with a rockford 200s amp. It's not huge bass but it sounds good. I was reading this thread last night and have been debating about adding an aftermarket head unit or keeping the stock one. Picked up the pac harness for 30 bucks I figured i'll keep the stock one for a while.

The fox box is the best to me. I'm getting one next check. They have the most air space if found

Pro Box has been my #1 choice for over 8 years. Never let me down, never had a leak or separation in over 6 vehicles i've personally owned and countless others I've referred and installed them in.

The subs in their "loaded" setups aren't slouches by any means. They bump pretty well also.
