So I'm installing some subs in my dad's truck and we got 2 dvc 4ohm subs and mono 4ohm amp. The box has each side sealed off via mdf board in the middle I'm ataching the wiring diagram I'm useing to wire it all up. My question is cab I drill a small hole to feed wire back and forth or does the 2 compartments have to be completely sealed? I'm talking just big enough to fit 2 sets of 16 gauge wire through. I don't know how sensitive it will be to the performance of the subs thanks in advance.

Ps I also thought about filling the hole with silicone after I am done wiring it up. I just don't want to cut corners on this build.

a tiny hole for the wire will be ok.

if need be put some silicone in the hole to plug it.

Thanks I figured sub to sub would be better than jumping the connectors in the back of the box.

What he said. You would only run into an issue if it was stereo instead of mono. You're doing it right.
