I just bought a 2016 RAM 1500 Crew Cab with Navigation. Every time I plug my iphone into the USB port inside the center console it automatically switches from Radio to Media. Is there a setting to stop it from doing this on its own? Also anyone know a good youtube video to show me how to set up voice recognition? Thanks in advance.

I have not seen anything yet on this. This is why I have a USB charger and just play through BT.

there should be another usb port thats not tied to the radio you can use for charging your phone, or buy a cig lighter charger.

Hi RAM Big Horn,

In our Ram’s center consoles there are actually 2 USB ports: one is used for media interfacing while the other is for charging only. The radio is designed to automatically switch to your device if media port is being used. If this is not desired, you can use the other port and it should just charge your device without switching inputs. Once you pair your phone via Bluetooth, voice recognition will automatically begin. There is no programming or setting up involved. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

Thank you for that answer. You were 100% correct. I didn't even notice the other port because it has a lighter plug lid on it so I thought it was for a lighter. Thank you so much.

Correct, but on my mine that port works just fine until, I unplug my phone and plug it back in later it doesn't work. I have to unplug the cord from the console and plug it back in.
