Today I was driving and my radio volume stopped working. All the features work to control it but regardless of the volume level there is no noise.

Radio Bluetooth and CD have not sounds but controls seem fine.

Went through all the settings and they are all good.

Heard there is the chance a fuse blew and I can look it up in the manual and take to PartsSource to get a new one.

Anyone ever experience this or know the solution / cause ?

Thanks.

Looking at the fuses look like F71 the amplifier fuse (25 Amp natural ie. Clear) may be the culprit. Have not pulled the fuse yet. Other option is E38 radio fuse but not sure if I have it as not all truck do have. Also mentioned to have my anti theft code as that is needed which I am sure I don't have...anyone one have any advice.

Here is the manual 2014 Dodge Ram Sport.
Nothing specific to the speakers hence why I think F71 may be the problem.fee2ed877ccd1654a83d3e213fff1108.jpg00225843a323c77a9af9121b4af82632.jpg6515c17b7db64a7d7eff99c86356824b.jpg494695d3338e2c63e8074f9aa1e860bc.jpg

So I removed the F71 Amplifer fuse and check it out. It looked ok. Put it back in and restarted and problem fixed. Looks like there is an issue and fixed for now.

Ive had this issue on Chrysler 300's. Jump in no audio. Get out and after about 30 minutes the computers all "sleep" after that it always came back on. Now the radio not coming on at all, had that issue once in my Ram. 12 hours later it magically decided to work again.

Yup yup I've been there in my 2011. It is likely a wire rubbing somewhere, but I'm too lazy to trace it. I usually just shut my truck off and let it sit for a minute and it comes back on. It happens with the fuse to my A/C too. I just pull the fuse and put it back in and it works.

Guys,

I have the same issue with 2014 Dodge ram. My radio stopped working today morning and no sound coming out even when connected to my phone. I have no idea about cars, how to pull the fuse out? can i just grab it and pull it out? also how do i know whether a fuse is good or bad by visible eyes?

Thanks,
OS

Guys,

As per the answers in one of the forums, i removed the fuse for amplifier (under the hood) and put it back and everything works fine. Am not sure how, maybe it reset everything. But all good now and problem solved.

Thanks,
OS
