Replaced factory 8.4 nav

I have a 2015 3500 mega just replaced head unit and speakers and added 2 amps also made control box to have all functions from factory head unit on to new head unit with heated seats and temperature control
It sounds amazing

$2000 is a crackhead price. Like mentioned, around $500 would be closer to actual street price.

Agreed, I have bought two 8.4 in last month. Never paid more then 500-550 landed. Not sure about amp.

What headunit and speakers did you add? (brand, model, etc.)

Kenwood 9902s 2 Jl amps 1 1200x1 and Jl 800x8 Alpine r series 6x9 in front and back doors Jl 3.5 in dash

OK, if it was your installer they were puffing.

On the bright side, you can offset your cost for the new setup by $500. I bet it will sell in a week on the forum. As far as the Alpine Amp, I don't know how that would sell because they are purpose maid and I'm unsure of the demand...

The amp is something that I could add to a current 8.4 in my truck? I was looking for one awhile back but was told they're built into the radio from the factory.

Alpine premium speakers from the factory only...the amp is purpose maid for this setup. I'm assuming you have the base 6 speaker factory setup.

If yours came with Alpine from the factory, you already have this amp. There may be someone out there that wants one though...

Mine didn't come with Alpine, but I got a OEM sub given to me, then was told I needed the amp to power it, and was told that was built in and the sub was no good to me

I also have the hole system available the sub all the speakers amp and radio 8.4 with nav 9 speakers plus sub

Interested on how you manipulated the data into a new headunit. Unless you went with Kenwood/Maestro, but last I checked that doesn't work with the 8.4n.
