RES radio in 2009 Ram 1500 cutting out. Works fine when truck is first started, but randomly cuts out and randomly comes back on. AM/FM problem only. SAttelite/CD/AUX all work fine, so I'm ruling out speakers or amp. Power stays on, just losing am/fm audio. Initially when problem first began, changing station or turning off/on would bring audio back, but that no longer works. Have already changed the antenna and problem remains. Have also checked antenna cable connection at antenna base and back of radio, both appear secure. If truck is started and left sitting still, radio seems to play indefinitely, but if driven it will randomly cut in and out. I suspect a lose connection disturbed by bumps in the road, but don't know where else to look other than in the radio circuitry itself. Is anyone else having a similar problem or have any further suggestions for trouble shooting? Hate to spend the $ on a new radio and still possibly have the same problem if it's not in the radio. Also any tips on getting dash glove box out to access antenna cable for replacement would be appreciated.
