Installed a lockpick and backup camera yesterday and it works great. Only problem is the camera I got sucks donkey balls. If I angle it to where I see the bumper then I can only see about a foot behind the bumper and if I angle it up more to see whats further back then I have no idea really how close I am to something. What cameras are you guys using and could you take a pic of the view you have on your screen even you factory backup camera guys. I have the camera mounted in the factory location in the tailgate handle.

I just installed an audiovox CMOS2. My picture is about the same. You can see right behind and that's about it. Mine doesn't do well at night. you can see but not great.

Okay, I didn't want you to feel alone here so I walked outside just to take a picture for you. I'm using the factory cam. I had one in my 2012 and it didn't look this good because the screen on the 2013 has much better resolution. I can see more with my naked eye than this photo picks up. My eyes can probably see about another 10 get back. Just so you have an idea how far this is, my driveway is 2800 Sq ft.
I can see all the way back with my eyes to the end of the driveway and just a hint of the road.
I posted two pics because they looked different with and without flash. These were both taken with my cell phone.

Okay, must be your luck but the photos aren't posting. I'll try to edit and add them later.

Well that's good to know (angles you tried vs need). I am towing a 35 foot trailer at times. I know there are wireless cameras available. I want to be able to see along the sides of the trailer as well as the rear for backing.
I don't know if they even have different camera choices. I don't think there are many like that.

I put a license plate camera on the back of my camper. I added a video jack to the trailer tongue and one to the hitch under the Rams bumper. When I hook up the trailer, I plug in the camera along with the regular 7-pin trailer plug. When ever the trucks ignition is on, the view behind my trailer displays continuously in my rearview mirror video display.

Actually, My mirror has two 4.3" video screens. I have the left side display the trucks backup cam as soon as I put it into reverse. The right side screen displays behind the camper when it's hooked up.

So is this doable now on the 2013 with the 8.4? Last I had checked it wasn't available lock pick for the 2013?
