Anyone else have their sirius cut out in random open places? Mine does it at one intersection where they have a couple of billboards but doesn't do it in downtown Houston. It doesn't even do it in most parking garages.

That being said, I brought the truck in right before the warranty went out for sirius cutting out and navigation jumping around. They said the radio had thrown a code and needed to be replaced. The nav doesnt jump around anymore but he sirius still cuts out in the same places. Wierd

Mine blinks at times and there is an intersection in Memphis, TN that I lose all signal at it. Mine is just the 5.0 radio.

I've had the truck gps and my cell phone google maps gps freak out at the same location. It's the middle of nowhere on a country road. The satellite radio also cuts out here.

Mine cuts out randomly around Houston also. Dealership will usually blame sirius and sirius will tell you to take it to the dealership or try to give you a free external radio.

Hi reb0957,

Sorry to hear about this! You can request a signal refresh from Sirius XM by visiting this link: https://care.siriusxm.com/retailrefresh_view.action#/refreshradio. This may help the concerns you are experiencing.

Just bought my 2017 Bighorn and the Sirisxm cuts out five to six times per song. My old vehicle had siriusxm and no issues. This new truck siriuxm is no good. Refreshed it as instructed and no difference. They called and wanted to offer me a deal on a subscription and I said sure, if they fix it. They pressured the sale and I kept saying sure, if it worked. They got off the phone fast in the end. I want my siriusxm. Refresh again? Is there something wrong with their satellites?

The does this and it ****** me off, we just restarted the serviced for our trip we are leaving for on friday... I thought it was a elec gremlin but its nice to see I'm not the only person and type of vehicle it happens too.

If it keeps happening after the reset Ram Cares shared, Sirius will be getting an earful from me... First they wouldn't combine the accounts with the charger and the Ram and then this.... not to happy with them at the moment

My 2011 has been doing this for a few months now. I thought it was because I had moved to Denver CO. It's starting to **** me off. I really like the satellite radio because I hate radio commercials. If it keeps cutting out all the time, Sirius can take a hike.

Mine does that in a couple of places. Seems to be where new construction has been going on. Funny but I think it has something to do with high voltage power lines buried under the pavement.

Yeah I think it's fairly common I've had that issue each time I get siriusxm. I've had it on One external stereo and antenna, 2 different Mazdas, and now my ram. They all had the same issue. One of the few reasons I do not pay for the service anymore.

I had a 14 2500 with the antenna on the front and same damn radio no issues anywhere. I had no issues with nav either.
Traveling into downtown Houston it can get me to where I am going. Leaving downtown Houston it can't lock and had me doing circles. Just bought a vent mount for my pixel to get me out of Houston.
The differences between the 2 trucks are roughly 6" in height and antenna placement.
Aren't the GPS and satellite antenna in the same spot?

I currently have this issue with my 2017 2500. I have 2 other vehicles that have Sirius and neither of these vehicles exhibit this problem so I have to believe that it is a Ram issue. I tried to have the dealer look at it and of course they "could not duplicate" the issue but then how could they being that they put a whopping .2 miles on my truck while trying to locate the issue. I'm not going to worry about it any more as I am planning on ditching the crap 5.0 and going aftermarket.

Both my Charger and Ram do this every now and then. Doesn't do it enough to be annoying though or warrant a trip to the dealer.

Mine does it when I'm sitting at a red light in Airdrie off of Yankee Bld turning to go to Wally world. Anyone here have the same issues there? When I take my wife's Cherokee it doesn't do it!! Go figure. My '11 did the same.
