Two separate systems - Sirius is just satellite radio subscription service...the nav is not something you have to pay for

i'm not sure with the stock nav systems but sirius I believe has a traffic update subscription for sirius equipped units. It shows or tells you about traffic conditions in major cities.

there is the sirius traffic update but you don't have to have that
