I was able to find an adaptor on Amazon to use my stock sirius antenna line with the aftermarket tuner. Pretty sure this was the one I ordered and works fine.

you can buy a fakra adapter or you can remove the plastic connector off the oem cable and plug it directly into the new tuner. either way, no need to install another antenna, unless you wanted to.

Not sure about the 2017, but if the stock antenna is using the Fakra plugs then you could use a fakra "K" plug to an SMB. In the link is what I have used and works perfect.

I just cut the plastic on my stock antenna and plugged it in. No issues after 2 years

you can remove the OEM plastic connector without cutting or breaking it. im not sure why you would cut it off.
