As the title says looking for the maximum speaker depth i can fit in my front doors. I was on crutchfield and alot of the options i wanted would not fit. Need some hands on information.
Thanks in advance

But don't use 3/4" mdf as a spacer. They will hit the inner door panel.

I've got Alpine SPR-69's and I love them. They're one of the few 6x9's that will fit in our front doors. 2 7/8" seems to be the maximum mounting depth for the front doors without using spacers. Most guys run 6.5's but I prefer the 6x9's.

RC, I have used up too Kicker KS693's...and they are deep! Had a little bulg from the tweeter, ended up doing this and putting mid there, 30mm tweeter in dash.

Thats some nice work right there. Im looking to put in some focal from their Access line. I might end up doing something like this to get the sound i want. Great work!

I used JL Audio C3-600s (the C2-600 line fit also) that crutchfield and sonicelectronix said wouldn't fit. They do just fine. I did a lot of research on this but at no time did I think to measure the max depth for as many times as I had the door panel off...lol. The link to my build log is in my sig below, to see some pictures.
