Hi

There is a way to disable the sound when I exceed 75 mph? In my country the limit is 80...

Thanks

That's strange. I have a 2016 and do not have that ding. However the first thing I did was disable the seat belt ding. That may disable them both?

Guess I should have said how I did it... Ha. Get in with seat belt on. Turn key on and unbuckle then buckle seat belt 3 times within 10 seconds. End buckled and turn key off.

I don’t think the seatbelt chime disables the speed chime. It’s probably something you would need a programmer for.

Isn't in your settings? You just change the limit or something iirc

I also thought it was through the GPS settings on the radio? It uses the speed limits that are shown on the u-connect nav.

Hi dndssc,

Here is a quick video our Uconnect team put together to show how to enable a Speed Limit Alert, this should help you find the setting in order to disable/raise it. If this doesn't help please send us a PM with your VIN so we can investigate further for you!

Back when I sold them the option for the speed limit chime was in the EVIC on the higher trim models, not sure if this is still true with the newer 8.4 Uconnect.

That's where I disabled mine on my 2017 and it worked fine. Maybe you need to try resetting the radio?

Not sure on your answer. I too thought it was the NAV setting. But that is a voice that states you are going over the posted limits.

On my RAM it did not work till the most recent up-date. It works now for me. I had it set to 6MPH over. I had no idea how much I go over the limit.. That sexy girl voice tells me at least 6 to 10 times a day I'm going too fast. :)

It's not the voice that you can set in gps settings! It the same chime of seat belt and ring every time when i'm at 75mph!

I check the system with a obd interface and found that the system was set to "middle east", I changed it to "europe" and the chime gone!

I had no idea they even had such a thing.

Now wait, it will soon be like my locomotives. go 3 miles over the limit and the brakes will automatically apply.
Computer will notify the nearest Officer and you will get dinged, for speeding, in the mail.
