how big a deal would it be to split the ground and run 2 amps off it? When I hooked up my sub amp it was a PITA to find a ground. I want to add this little 4 channel amp and wanted to use same ground. Its 4g maybe 2 ft long. I'm going to run dedicated power wire through the fire wall.

What gauge is your power wire and ground wire you're running now?

4g for the bass amp. All I need for 4 channel amp is 10g. The ground is all I plan on splitting

I would just daisy chain the smaller amp ground off the main amp. Kinda like stacking the two wire terminals together then tighten the screw to the main amp.

Unless your running big power you should be fine. Just know that using the same ground plane can cause noise in the system. ( alternator wine etc )

If you can, run 0 gauge power and ground wire into a distribution block (separate blocks of course) and then use 4 gauge wires from the blocks to the amps. It's better to have too much and not need it. At least if you decide to upgrade to a more powerful system your wiring is already in place.

I doubt he's running the power to justify using 0g wire

Use a distribution block with a single in dual out.
