Sramcq09 install help!

Hey guys I joined this forum for some help. I have a 2014 ram sport. Alpine audio system. I used to deal with car audio and I read all these threads saying it was an easy install. My question is whether the ram sport has the premium audio or the base? I've tapped the wires to both harnesses to try and get the sub to work. It doesn't. Green light is on the amp. I'm frustrated standing out in the rain trying to figure this out. Has anyone installed this kicker upgrade on the sport? If so what wires do I tap?

Does your system have the factory sub. If you have the kicker upgrade then it should have been plug & play

I do have the factory sub. It's not just plug and play there are some small wiring work required. I followed everything as per instructions but the sub won't work. New amp light turns on.

The factory sub is the 8" round. The vss system comes with a new amp and sub

Did you disconnect the factory sub? It has to be unhooked for the kicker stuff to work. Also check if you flipped the wires around on the 2 speaker splices under the dash

I took the old one out. Which wires are supposed to be tapped?

If you need more help on the kicker website you can download the instructions book. Good luck. Hope your not as disappointed as I was with the bass

Ya I looked at the kicker site but I couldn't find any answers on the alpine unit. Well I just hope it's better then the stock alpine unit. Did you notice 2 green/brown and grey/brown in that harness?

Yes They are for the fronts. Just tap a matching pair. They should be right next to each other
