Swap 2013 ra4 for a 2016+ ra4?

Hello,

I know newer radio have more fonctionnality than the older ra4.

Is it possible to swap them and get the new fonction of the 2016 + radio ? (background, back cam button etc )

I put the 16 RA4 in my 14 and everything works great but I don't have the backup cam button. That is controlled by your BCM and wasn't offered until 2016. If your truck was a 16 and had the Back Up camera option activated the Back Ip button option would work but not on the 13-15. The radio is capable but your truck doesn't have the code to activate it. All the other cool features work great. I have 7 different screen themes and 5 different map themes plus the drag and drop,do not disturb with auto text reply ect. Eventually someone like OBD Genie may make a tool the add the Back Up camera button code to our trucks but for now it doesn't have it.
