Uconnect 5.0 issue

So, it appears SXM has pushed a fix. On my way home for lunch the radio went out to lunch twice (about every 8 min). On my way back (20 minute ride) it worked great.

Count me in for this issue. UConnect 5.0 as well. My wife has the 8.4 in her Journey and had no issues following right behind me. Crash and reboot cycle happened just about every 8-10 minutes. Very strange.

1:35 EST Just ran it for 30 minutes, everthing worked normal.

I was going to post the same question lol. Thia AM my radio would shut off.. The radio screen would stay on when off! Also if I hit the phone button it would change station to last preset! Stopped by my dealer alittle while ago and the young lady was right on the ball and told me she has had a lot of calls on this,, It is caused by SIRIUS , SO Hopefully they will fix soon. the Plus is they had the back up camera kit in stock and will install in on Monday

so if I still have any issues with the radio they can reflash it then if needed

Hi everyone!

Today, owners of vehicles with the Uconnect 5.0 system (RA2 sales code) may have experienced a condition where their radio would freeze and restart repeatedly. This condition was caused by an update to the Satellite Radio signal, that the radio could not handle. As of 1:00 PM EST (January 30, 2017), the situation has been resolved and your radio should function normally again.

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. If anyone is still experiencing this please let me know ASAP!

Andrea, Thank you for the update and as usual the GREAT customer service !

FYI I did stop in at my dealer and they were aware of a issue but no time frame for the fix, BUT that stop will cost me $$ as I set up a appointment to install my back up camera

Radio works, now reverse cam not working correctly. Image is now extremely dark and grainy.

Same here Uconnect 5.0 latest update. This morning it kept restarting and this afternoon all is working again. I'm still on the 1 year free trial.

This is bizzare. Mine totally froze up today, several times. First time I shut off the truck, waiting, restarted. Next time it seemed to freeze, then rebooted itself. 3rd time went black screen, 1-2 minutes later it booted. No issues coming home tonight. I do have XM but was listening to FM radio and had WAZE via bluetooth.

My camera was fine once radio started working correctly. Almost looks like your lens is dirty.

That was the first thing I checked. I'm sure it was unrelated.

Went to dinner and when I restarted the truck it was working fine; nervous about it happening again though.

My 2014 with the 5.0 just started acting up last night. The ram symbol will stay on the screen, music eventually starts playing. After a few minutes the music stops, then it reboots. All I can do is adjust volume. I keep mine on FM. I use Bluetooth alot. Everything g was fine when I went to lunch. Went to leave work and started having problems.

My new to me 2014 with 5.0 just started doing it today. Drove to work everything worked. Left work it rebooted every few minutes. It appeared to be frozen. I could only change volume in the first few seconds after the reboot.

Now my screen has gone completely black. The volume doesn't cut in an out anymore. But that's still the only thing I can change. Dealer told me to leave my truck with them for a few weeks to get it fixed with no loaner vehicle. I laughed and hung up. Carmax, where I bought the truck, will only take a few days, and I get a car to drive while it gets fixed. Only going to cost me around $250. Only downside is I have to wait 2 weeks before I can drop it off.

Well, it's happening again, only slightly different .

After about two minutes of the truck being on, my subscription cuts off and I only have a few basic channels. Then the radio switches to FM radio only, and then it reboots.
