Just checked my VIN and I have the update. I downloaded it but after reading the last few posts I'm really hesitant to install it. My RA3 with nav running 16.13.13 has been working PERFECTLY for over a year now. Like no glitches whatsoever.

What exactly does this update do for those of us with '13 and '14 trucks? Customizable icons?

Did the Uconnect download via the site on MY13 17.11.07. The backup cam is washed out/too bright. Also, my Nav and SXM aren’t functioning properly. Nav isn’t accurate and SXM is “Acquiring Signal”

Did you try power cycling the head into a few times? Some folks have said that has worked for them.

Does anyone know if this update will continue to go ota since it is available as a download? Uconnect is a real disappointment as far as this update is concerned.

How did you factory reset it?

with the radio on, hold down the temp +/- buttons (driver side if you have dual) until you see the engineering menu pop up. Then, scroll down to reset to factory and tap it, then tap yes. keep the key on while it resets. You'll see different splash screens until the radio figures out the vehicle configuration, usually takes a reboot or two.

Awesome thanks! So after doing the reset yours works fine on the new update?

The factory rest fixed the backup cam issue. I’ll test the Nav/SXM in the morning on the way to work.

I can confirm as well the factory reset has fixed the washed out camera. In addition, I am now on day 3 of an accurate clock and GPS on the new firmware.

Well here goes...ac5747402ed5e6dfd56d23de75b762cb.jpg
Remember, you will likely see that exact screen several times. If I remember right once you see step/unit 5 you are past what appears to be reboot loops...Good luck![emoji6]

Thanks! Got the update done, backup camera was washed out as expected. Did a factory reset and the backup camera is now not washed out. SXM is working fine and everything else is working fine as far as I can tell. Only hiccup so far is the nav has this message on it. Is this something that will figure itself out if I go for a drive?

Edit: drove for about a mile and it went back to the normal nav screen

Since the update I no longer get info over bluetooth. Pandora, Youtube, iHeartRadio, nothing displays song/artist info any longer. Just displays my phone name and no info.

Tried a soft reboot, reset, repaired my phone with no luck. Bah!

And now that it no longer had the Pandora app built in this sucks even more.

Hi Riccohet,

In late February 2017 FCA began to remove Via Mobile from many vehicles which is why you don't see the Pandora app built in anymore. All vehicles will retain the standard Bluetooth Audio streaming capability.

You can visit this link to see if your phone's compatibility with your Uconnect system allows for artist/song info to be shown: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/care/bluetooth-pairing.html. Please feel free to send us a PM with any additional questions!

According to that site, and the fact that artist/song info was working, it should work. It has since stopped showing artist/song info after the 17 update.

I'm using a Google Pixel XL.

Since my update installed my radio takes forever to boot up now. Does anyone know of anything that can be done to speed things up?
