I notice that on my 2018 Ram the Unconnect wont always play back music thru Bluetooth. I'd say about 50% of the time I have turn Bluetooth off on my phone, and then turn it back on for it to sync with the truck and play music. Also about an eighth of the time when I get it my truck it doesn't even pick up my phone. Is this a compatibility issue with my phone, or something else? FYI my phone pairs fine with all other Bluetooth devices I have.

I have an LG V20 as well. Haven't tried music specifically, but other things work flawlessly. Phone pairs instantly when getting in the truck, and phone calls work too with no problems.

My truck is a 2013 2500 with FW version 16.13.13. Could be the newer version that you have isn't working properly.

My V20 connects in a matter of seconds on my '17 and opens up pandora once connected to auto play. try tweaking some of the bluetooth settings on the phone, it may help the connection consistency.

Hi TexNorseman,

Sorry to hear about this! You can enter your information here to view your phone's compatibility with your vehicle's Uconnect system: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/care/bluetooth-pairing.html. Also, we would recommend deleting the Bluetooth pairing from your phone and your Uconnect system and re-paring them to see if that helps. Please don't hesitate to send us a PM for further assistance if needed.

Not sure if this will help or not. I have a V20 and I've had BT issues with both my '17 RAM and my '14 BMW. The phone pairs up fine but will not make a call. It just starts to call but hangs up. I've tried to restart the phone but it doesn't work. I have to completely shut down the truck and car to get it to work again. I have not tried the Music over BT with the truck yet due to Satellite radio free for a year. BTW I haven't had this problem in a while so I'm not sure if one of the phone updates fixed the issue or not.

My wife streams music (LG V20 also) through her '15 BMW with BT and she occasionally needs to reset her BT on her phone to get it to work properly.

Still having issues, every other time I start my truck it doesn't recognize/pair my phone. Usually turning Bluetooth off then back on on the phone resolves it. Any ideas?

so talked to a representative again today about this issue and she seems to think my Android Wear watch (polar m600) maybe interfering with the truck's Bluetooth connection. Anyone else have an Android Wear watch and use Uconnect without issue? I may try not wearing the watch for a few days and see if I notice a difference.

I think it's your phone. Try not using the watch (keep it turned off so it isn't being seen as a Bluetooth device) and see if your phone connects to your truck.

I think I narrowed it down to the phone as well. Adjusted some settings. We'll see what happens.

I have an LG Urbane watch and had no problems with my LG6 phone connecting nor using BT. I still have the same watch and have upgraded to a Pixel 2XL also without problems. FYI

More than likely I've narrowed it down to the phone itself.
