So i have a 2014 Ram with the 5" display headunit. The call functions all work fine. But the text function has Alzheimers.
If i completely delete my phone (Samsung Galaxy S6) and re-pair it via bluetooth, all of the functions work for the most part. Calls are good, but text messages only work if it's a standard text, i've never been able to get it to work with group texts. If i park and turn off the truck, like when i go to work, and come back to it and get in, the voice will still work but it'***** or miss if it will update my texts. Eventually (over a day or so) i lose all text function, and it grays out the text message box and says something to the effect of not supporting text for my phone model and to go to some website.
Is there anyone else that has had these problems? If so, how did you fix it or work around it? i hate having to pair my phone manually every time i go on a trip just so the text function works.
