Uconnect RA2 to RA4 upgrade assistance

No, an update won't change it and you will most likely not be able to convert the radio to USA maps service. CustomTronix (in Holland?) does convert US/North America RA4's to EU but I doubt they get any requests to go the other way. NavRepair may be able to help you, might even exchange it for a fee but I wouldn't count on it.
That is why there is a list of known RA4 VP4-NA PN's linked in the conversion thread see "Here" link...

Parts Required For MOD:

01. 8.4 Uconnect Radio (VP3/RA3 - Non-Nav) or (VP4/RA4 - Nav)
** For Compatible RA4 Radios see here. **Check car-part.com, Schram, ebay, etc.

I will add that Canadian RA4's (VP4-CA) still have US maps and are in English. They have been the only other versions shown to work decent (no apps or cellular modem). Also linked in the RA4 FW & Info thread

I'm sorry to say this but I suggest you try to return the radio (if you can), and confirm any future purchases by getting a picture of the pn label on the back beforehand and verify it against the list in the RA4 thread linked above.

Did you ever get this radio changed to US Maps Sir ?
Or
Was you able to return it and get a NA Radio ?

Sorry if you've answered this elsewhere , I'm just looking at old threads I'm subscribed to .

I returned it to the seller and purchased an NA RA4 which worked wonderfully until I updated the software and lost the navigation icon essentially turning it into an RA3[emoji1] [emoji379]
