USB and nav question

This has probably been asked before but here it goes.

1. Can I simply buy a thumb drive and copy my iTunes music files and play them without any converting?

2. How does map updates work? Do I have to pay the dealer or ?

You download map updates and use a thumbdrive to load them on the truck through the media center.

Not sure about Apple files working or not. I use PCM/MP3 files.

The manual says you can plug your iPod / iPhone into the USB jack and it will work. They do say it may not be compatible with all Apple software versions.

I'd try a USB with all your Apple music on it and see!

You have to pay for map updates. Whether it's at the dealer or online download
