Yes I have the same problem with my system as well. When I plug in a USB stick into the dash outlet it won't read it-"No Files Found". How is it possible so I can download some pictures so I can change the factory Ram screen? I've posted a pic of my system. It can't be rocket science........

I have the 3.0 system, truck has about 1000 miles on it.
The lights around the usb and aux port never light up, should they?
I have tried the aux and usb and it's like it doesn't even know it's there.
I am assuming it's bad and I need to visit the dealership?
The power plug next to these two ports works fine.

Hi Gom,
If you decide to take your vehicle in to the dealer for diagnosis please feel free to reach out, I am happy to assist in scheduling an appointment or follow-up if needed.

Kinda funny, but the thumb drive that's been in my console USB slot for the past 9 months can't been seen anymore. Tried several other's I have laying around, but none would read. Pulled out a very old HP pocket drive that's 640Gig....reformatted to FAT32 at 20Gig, put my thousand mp3's back on ( with one jpg ) and that works just fine. Man, these things are sensitive. 2018 Ram 1500 Crew Cab, 8.4 inch screen.

Bad Media Hub

The consensus is that the media hub is bad and will be replaced under warranty. The folks at UConnect also shared that the wiring harness is a little different between the 3.0/5.0 & 8.4. So even if I drop in a 5.0 it wouldn't work as designed...

They are wrong.
The wiring harness for the USB port is identical for 2013-2017 uConnect 3.0/5.0/8.4. (slight wiring change in 2018/19 classic).

The only difference is which USB hub (ECU Config 3 - External Port Type) is plugged into it and the BCM configuration that tells the Radio which USB hub to look for...

I had to try 3 different ones before I found one that worked in my Ram.

I don't think there's a pattern or anything specific to look for; it just likes some and doesn't like others. (And this is coming from an IT veteran; I don't believe in magical thinking...clearly it just doesn't recognize some drives.)

what brand did you finally use and what file type? Mp3? I tried 8 different usb drives and nothing.

I use PNY 128GB thumb drives formatted in FAT32. I don't load folders, just individual .mp3 files. Works fine.
