Greetings,

Has anyone had issues with their windows rolling down on their own when the truck is not running? My windows keep doing this. I turn my truck off, get out and lock it and then my windows mysterious roll down on their own.

My daughter's boyfriends Ford Fusion has done this a couple of times too. It's a mystery. Maybe some kind of short in the electrical system??

Are you locking it with the key fob??? It's been know that the fobs come loose inside and that will cause this to happen.... open up you fob and see if anything is loose.

Look on YouTube there are a few videos that show you what to look for and how you can fix it.

I know my 09 Ram I could roll my windows down with the fob. If you hold I think the lock button down for like 5 seconds the windows would roll down.

My 2011 can roll my front (2) windows down with the key fob. It's funny as it was found out accidentally by my wife lol.

The thing is, I am not doing anything except locking the truck with the fob when I jump out of it and then the windows roll down. I would like to take this feature away if possible. I dont want them rolling down on their own.

I cleaned my FOB with alcohol and it is still doing it.

you possibly need a new fob. it sounds like its still making contact on the inside of the fob itself. do you have a spare fob that you can use for a while to see if the problem goes away?

Hi,

No square fob but, I am like right next door to Crown Chrysler and Jeep so I can just pop in and see what they are say about a new fob, I just hope they do not want an arm and leg for a new programmed fob.

Thx!

A double click on the key FOB and then hold the button down until the windows go down as far as you want.

2009 up to 2012 (pretty sure 2012 is included) and with the refresh in 2013 and updated electronics this options was no more.

One individual had lowered his windows without realizing it and came out to a cab filled with snow the next day, a few had been soaked after a rain so I guess Ram thought it might not be a good idea to continue it. I personally love it, since I don't have remote start and I can let some heat out as I walk up the the truck before I get in.

i use to have a '11 durango and that had it also i loved it.

Op another thought have you recently changed the battery in the remote? the reason i ask is maybe putting it back together may have moved the way the rubber button presses on the circuit board.

Baum your post gave me an idea. I took the FOB apart, change the battery, cleaned the gasket and inside with a Q tip and alcohol and put that bad boy back together. Works like a charm now. So much for the stealer dealership getting $200 bucks out of me. Crooks.

Next up, find the spare fob so next time I am not SOL.

Thanks everybody
