I have a 2005 ram 1500, and a few stations around town do not come in clearly on my truck, but they come in perfectly fine on my buddies 2007 1500.

I have a Kenwood single din head unit, the adapter for the head unit.

Please help. Some stations come in perfect where others suck horribly.

Make sure all the blue wires on the harness you bought are connected to the blue/white wire on the radio harness. The antenna may be amplified and need power which will be one of the blue wires.

Yeah it was bad before also.. Is there anything that would cause this problem? How hard is it to replace the antenna and assembly?

I think its easy. Hardest part will be snaking the wire.

On my 08 there is a antenna connection right behind the passenger side kick panel, near some other harnesses. Pull this off and check it, maybe it got loose or unplugged.

If you have one of those stubby antennas, that would be your problem, they are crap.

Are you running any class d amplifiers? Some, typically more compact amps are known to cause interference due to the switching circuitry they use, a modern example would be the kicker dx 1000.1
