First off.... if you were putting 1500-2000 pounds in your truck you'd have bigger problems as you'd be exceeding the payload of your truck. But I highly doubt that equipment weighs anything near that. Have you actually weighed it or are you taking a wild guess? I'd say you're more in the 300-400 pound range MAX without actually seeing the stuff.

first off i have all the equipment.... subs are 100 pounds each, the batteries im using are 95 pounds each(lets round to 100 for the hell of it) and i have 10 of those

so just between my subs and batteries its 1400 pounds, not including the 150 pounds in amps( 75 each),wire or box

You're gonna need more than a leveling kit if you really are putting 2k lbs worth of stuff in your truck. The payload rating i think is around 1200 lbs so by the time you put all that stuff in there including you you're gonna be pushing if not over double the payload capacity of that truck, if your weight estimates are correct. Not to mention the weight of the bullet proof glass you'll have to install because if you really put all that stuff in there it's going to blow all your glass out.

Are you building this thing to be a dedicated show truck, or are you going to be driving it around?

its going to be used as my daily, ive seen bigger systems with stock window glass, ill have the doors open most of the time demoing,so i wont need to worry about the pressure cracking the glass...Should i be looking into helper bags then?

Smh... Breaking glass... People I swear...

Anyway, I haven't looked into this for you're vehicle specifically (mine is similar, but the wife already told me I'm not allowed to wall this one off), but you're going to need bags in the rear, and heavy duty (possibly lifted) front springs. Maybe some sort of coil over kit if one is made.

I'll look around and see what I can find.

Being that you have a rear leaf spring setup then yes, you'll want a set of helper bags in the rear. If you focus the weight in the rear of the vehicle you shouldn't need to do much to the front suspension as it'll be trying to tip everything off the front suspension so a set of helper bags will allow you to level it out again.

If you're trying to say that a system that supposedly will have 24 8" subs and 4 15" subs won't create enough pressure to blow a window out then you need to do a little research...

Anyway you can try helper bags and see what they do. I'm sure they would level out the back some. As for the front you could maybe try the bilstein 5100 shocks that most people use to level the front end. I'm not too sure if that alone will be enough though.

Okay,in talking to a few buddies, they told me i can get a helper bag similar system that will allow me to lift the truck front and back 3" and drop it back to stock....could someone clarify/let me know what type of stuff im looking at to do this?

There are no helper bags for the front, only for the rear. Any air bag set up in the front will require a custom install. One thing I notices hasn't been asked, is it a 2wd or a 4wd, front end is very different.

And on a side note, where are you located?

What they are describing is essentially a complete replacement of the factory suspension. I'm not sure if anyone makes a kit for your truck, so it would be all custom.

What we're discussing are options for helping the factory suspension.

I used to do nice installs like that but got tired of working hard to have stuff to supply dirt bag drug addicts with pawn material for their next high lol

If we're getting technical, Brad built your current system X-D

I kid, I kid. Please, don't bring that truck anywhere near mine, my semi-SQ system would **** itself.

Unlikely. And 250+ inches of subwoofer surface will absolutely create enough pressure to dislodge windows from their tracks or break them. But this isn't the point. You disagree and that's fine.

Anyway, I would try the 5100s up front and helper bags in the back. I don't know of anyone who has put such a large amount of weight in the bed and cab of their truck, so you just might have to try some stuff and see how it does. The best bet would be an air setup all the way around, but that would require a ton of time and money.

And I'm just curious, how are you gonna fit 6 8's in each door lol? Do you already have the boxes for them made?

It never was answered if it was 2wd or 4wd. If it's 2wd the 5100s won't work.

As for weight in the bed, I see more than that all the time. A 6' round bale weights between 1200-1700lbs then you've got the 3 overweight farmers in the crew cab, throw one bale in the bed of the truck of a 1500 without helper bags and it squats more than a ****** in a field of ******.

You're obviously confusing me with someone. I don't know any Brad, and I live several thousand miles away from you.

I've built several vehicles that could put up 150's+ on music, and helped on a few that would burp 160+.

I'm very aware of what a windshield will take.

You're right , I was confusing you with RamFlex on this board who had a 4x 15" 4th order blow through box build by BradKnob, my bad.
