Does anyone know of or have any experience with the Kicker audio upgrade compments offered through Mopar??? I have a 08 quad cab with the base 4 speaker system. They offer for my truck, 2-way 6x9's for the front doors. 2-way 5.25's for the rear doors. A 4 channel amp to power the door speakers. Then a 10" sub in a box that fits below the rear seat and a amp to power it. Everything is 100% plug and plag and will look factory installed(which is important to me). The sub amp mounts under the steering wheel out of sight and the door speaker amp is behind the glove box. I'm just looking for a mild upgrade, nothing wild! My local dealer can get me the door speakers for $75 per set. He's still working on prices for the the amps and sub. Doing some research on some of the other forums, people seem to be pleased with the upgrades over stock. Chime in if you have any comments. Thanks

i've heard mixed feelings about it. What is the dealer going to charge you to install it?

You might be able to do better for probably less if you know how to or can get a buddy to install stuff.

For example, I am selling 6-1/2' Kicker 2-way speakers for $40 shipped. That would be $35 saved just on the rear speakers.

i'm going to install everything......**** that, paying the dealer to do it! The thing I like about the rear 5.25's is they bolt right in....no retrofitting

Doing it yourself is the way to go. I'm getting ready to order a Zone Offroad 3" body lift and plan on doing that my myself. I'm kind of nervous, but feel pretty good. I'm a farm boy, so DIY is the only way. If I get into trouble with it, my brother is a diesel mechanic and my dad can work on anything. how come your getting rid of your Kicker's????

I am willing to bet that after he comes back with a finished price - you will be able to do MUCH better aftermarket. Also, you can make it look "factory" too, well.......you can hide some stuff. :D

I dunno......I'm sure I could spend less on better stuff. I just love that it's all plug and play with step by step install instructions. I don't know a whole lot about the aftermarket stuff, and it intimidates me a little.

I get the stock idea though - but at the end of the day, you have an aftermarket radio - not sure how that will work with all of the Mopar amps and stuff......

I'm sure you guys are right... I'm not looking to have the best sounding system out there. Just something that sounds better than my stock 4 speakers and is easy to install.

you did say you are going to run an aftermarket HU right?

I am sitting here thinking of how that would work, because I have no clue how the Kicker amps plug in. For some reason I wasn't thinking it was a true plug n play.......but I can't remember

My headunit was installed using the PAC interface. I'm still in the feeling out process. Maybe the kicker amps won't work, but I figured it wouldn't be to bad.

hell, it might! I might just be crazy and needing to get back to work.......LOL

The only amp I could easily find was the 8 channel one - and it seemed to be a replacement for the infinity one, so I know that can't be it.
