what sub in a 12 should i get ?? can i run a 4 ohm sub again ? or with this amp do i only run 2ohm ??

I have all polk DB audio in the doors and love them thinking of the polk MM in a 12 . but its 4 ohm DVC ? will that work ??

sent you a PM bud, somethings not right here. Obviously the stupid thing shouldn't be popping - but I can't figure why it would either.

Check the things I shot over in PM - lets go from there.

do you have a multimeter? I really wonder what load the amp is seeing from the sub.

Its a dual 4ohm sub, meaning it can be wired to "show" a final ohm load of 2 or 8.

The polk will work, wire it up like this (same as the one today):

What are the specs for your box (mounting depth and volume), and how much do you want to spend on a sub.

With these, we can give you some suggestions that will work well with the amp you have.

**** that sucks. I've never had to turn the bass boost up that far though...LOL

to get the most out of this amp you are still going to want either a 2ohm single voice coil sub or a 4ohm dual voice coil sub so that the amp is in 2ohm load.

The polk looks like a good option. Your box having only 6.375 mounting depth is now your limiting factor on what subs you can go with. You basically need low power (small magnet) or shallow mount 12" subs. I would recommend RF, but since hat is what you just had an issue with, get the polk they make good ****.
