No backup lights on 2003 1500

My 2003 1500 w/automatic transmission has lost power to the reverse lights. fuse is good, bulbs are good, any ideas what to check next??

The brake and turn signals are working fine and are from the same wiring harness so I don't think it's a bad ground. Someone said it was a backup switch, but this is an automatic so not sure where this switch would be mounted.

reverse switch likely died. Check the grounds then replace the switch. I think on that model its on the driver side of the transmission.

On an automatic transmission? I knew there was on on a Manual Transmission but on an Automatic one as well? I read somewhere that it might be something called a transmission range sensor/tps assembly
