2002 here. Need to know where anyone has grabbed a power source for their add on gauges. I got a oem mopar single gauge a pillar and a auto meter 8504 factory match gauge for keeping an eye on my vacuum. This gauge is a factory match so white face with green lighting and same color needle. I want to grab the power source from something that only turns on when i turn on the lights just like any other dash light. This is a mechanical gauge so power is only for back-lighting.

Let me know please.

Since your headlight switch is right below it, that would be the easiest. Probe the wires coming from the switch with a multimeter. Find one that shows 12v when you have the parking lights and headlights on but 0v when the switch is off.

Thanks. I figured out to tap into the orange/white wire hoping it would dim the gauge, it did not, but illuminates, so problem solved.
