Radio antenna adapter?

Do we need a radio antenna adapter when switching to an aftermarket head unit?

Ive got the Alpine 8.4AN in my '14 Ram 1500.

Yep. Cheap part. Don't cheap out and try to splice something together. Its about 7 bucks last time I checked.

Im wondering if the Alpine KTX-RPU8 kit i ordered will have it included. Alpines site doesnt say exactly what is in the box.

Usually no. Its specific to the dodge and they'll leave installation accessories to you or the installer.

No it won't come with an antenna adapter. They are vehicle specific, not radio specific.

Ive been searching for the last 15 mins to try and find an antenna adapter, but am not having much luck. Im surprised its this difficult to find...

Go to crutchfield.com and pretend like you're buying any head unit there. They'll give you a "you'll need this" list with it in there. Then you can go buy it from wherever, though crutchfield has a good reputation.

It looks to me like you need the 40-eu55 antenna adapter, but you may want to check with crutchfield to be sure.
