Hey, just bought an aftermarket head unit and looking for a microphone and backup camera/cable. Can anyone recommend one they use in their Ram? Ideally I'd like to mount the camera in the tailgate handle.

I suppose you should let us know what aftermarket head unit you are going to install on your car so that we can advise.

The head unit shouldn't matter though, most of the microphones/cameras are universal are they not?

So I read the user manual. It has internal MIC, and no jack for external MIC. You don't need to install an external MIC for it.
It has the RCA jack for camera. All aftermarket backup cameras should comes with a six video cable for it.

I took a chance and ordered a 19 dollar camera from Amazon. It attaches to the license plate. Ran a trigger wire to the head unit and adjusted it so I could barely see the hitch ball. Works great. I did not expect it to. Camera almost as good as my new Accords.
