Ok fellas new to the forums and buying my first tuck this week. Couldn't pass up the deal a buddy is selling his 04 ram 1500 5.7 hemi regular cab shortbed. 110k miles brand new motor with 1400 miles and all the receipts for $3500. Truck is in great shape other than some minor maintenance needed and typical bed rot. First things first...stock audio doesn't cut it for me. It has good alpine speakers in it already and I have a alpine speaker amp to hook them up to. Also have a mono. Lock for a sub just need to figure out how and where to mount a sub in such a small can probably just an 8" sub... So how did you guys do sound systems in your regular cabs?

I replaced all the factory speakers with kickers and added a kicker 450watt powered 10 inch sub behind the seats in the middle of the factory toolbox.
It has quick connections and velcro straps on it in case i need the storage space.
The head unit is a 200watt kenwood

Here is a shot of the door and rear speakers before the install.
I'll take a couple pics of the sub and completed install and post them up.

Here are a couple of pics of the completed install.
Sub is a kicker PES10c (450watt) and is a powered compact sub with quick disconnects. Its no slouch at 35lbs!
front speaker are 40cs6934 and were a direct fit with plug adapters
rears are 40cs54 and required a couple zip in screws to mount in different holes and plug adapters
Head unit is a Kenwood 200 watt kdc bt555u and is just enough without making the doors rattle.
