I have a shallow mount sub (actually sitting in my garage!)

I ran it for a while, it did a good job, but I ended up replacing it - I think the issue I really had was with the box (**** box at the time).

I have a RF P3 Shallow 12" - I'll let you have it for $75.

From what I've heard, they don't sound better...they are just designed to sound good in places that won't fit a regular sub

The P3 I have is a 400 watter.

Whats bad, I have only heard it in a ****** box. I never took the time to pop it in my box (and now I run a 10). Oh well, Dave will get it in a few days. :D

I like my CVR........but I am thinking about moving to a CVX........we'll see.

This one is a 4ohm DVC (which can be wired to produce 2 ohms).

the lower the ohm, the more power. (i know thats not the "right" way to say that, but its the easiest)

you have to make sure what ohm your amp is stable at. i have two p3 shallow 10s and they are both dual voice coil, i wired them up to present a 4ohm load to my amp. what you do is wire the dual voice coils on each sub together. i can bring up a diagram if youd like. but ^is right, less ohm more power, high end amps that are stable at 1ohm are expensive but produce big power

RH You said you amp is rated at 350w rms 1 channel bridged, 550 max, but what impedance is that stable at? That will tell you how you want to wire your speaker.

shallow 12's arent even as good as regular 10's. the only time shallows are ever good is in a regular cab where space is extremely limited. the only thing a shallow sub is better than is regular speakers.

RH do not get shallow subs. you have the room to get regular ones...do it right. shallows dont put out near the range or volume regular subs do.
