Steering Wheel Audio controls

I have a 2003 Ram 1500. It does not have audio controls in the steering wheel. If I were to get a steering wheel with the controls, would it be possible to make them work? I didnt know if the harness was in the column and could be connected to the correct wheel, or if I am just out of luck.

You'd have to get in the column to see if the wires were there. I don't know why they wouldn't be, its the same thing as putting the wires for the clearance lights on the HD trucks. I'm sure it would probably take a little bit of rewiring, plus I'm not sure if every single HU was set up for it.
