Where the hell do yall put a subwoofer in a 3rd gen quad cab?

I'm getting tired of the random autozone sub floating around in my back seat area, but I can't live without some form of base.
I know theres kits to go in the back seat storage, but I like those and already have a bunch of "stuff" in there for when I get bored out in the woods.

I was thinking possibly have a metal box insert fabbed up and cut a hole under the passenger seat and weld it in. The idea being to make a square pocket in the cab floor to get a decent enough box in there. But I haven't even seen if there's space under the cab, and it seems a bit ambitious.

Any thoughts?

I'd rather keep the back seat storage and foldy flat plasticy thing™ though, I use them both all the time.
I have split seats in the back though, I suppose I could just do one side, but it sucks the smaller one is on the drivers side where I mostly put stuff.

Fox makes single sub enclosures that only take up the small rear cargo box. If you don't want one under the back seats you're probably gonna have to do something custom

I have a Kenwood KSC-SW11 It works good to fill in the missing bass but wont rattle your windows. It sits under the rear seat on drivers side, fold flat and storage well is still usable.

Is the backseat storage removable, like with some sort of fabrication? I don't use it and can put all my stuff in a bed tool box. IMG_1012.JPGI need to fit these puppies in.

i had a hotbox in my 3rd Gen. It was a rectangular sub box the same width as the brackets on the flip up arm rest so that mounted back on it. I will see if i can find any pics.

edit: sorry I don't have pics

I completely forgot to post my results!

I did end up fitting a box under the passenger seat. The box is 0.35ish cubic feet sealed, and works nicely with the 8 inch sub I put in it.
The box ended up hanging back into the rear foot area more then most would like, and it can probably be shorter, but oh well.
I also had to cut the carpet and relocate the wire harness in the front most area under the seat. Otherwise it would not sit level on the floor. It's not visible though.
The seat is now limited in movement as well. It can go back all the way, and about 5-6 inches forward.
The seat adjuster had to go, and I made a mess of bending up the original one, so I'll have to make a custom one for it, but it can still go in and work.
I also had to take A LOT out of the seat brackets with a Sawzall. It is way weaker for side forces, but should hold up to abuse with normal sized passengers. It can't go far before it hits the door or the middle seat if it does bend anyway.

Looking back on it, I should have used 1/2 mdf instead of 3/4, but oh well. It's definitely worth It, a couple weeks after getting it in there, I fit 5 people in the truck, which wasn't possible before.

I can get more pics and measurements if anyone wants, but I'd recommend starting from scratch so you don't have to cut too much out of it like I did.
