Hey all,

During the stereo installation i left the battery hooked up simply put cause i was too lazy to unhook it and i was careful to not fry anything. anyway, since the doors were open for extended periods of time, the truck often went into sleep mode. Now that I have everything back together and everything plugged back in, it still acts like its in sleep mode all the time.

When the doors open, the dome lights dont come on, the headlights wont come on unless the key is in, the power door locks dont work, and keyless entry doesnt work either. This is just what i've noticed so far -- mostly because it was dark.

Any ideas?

I would try a hard reset. Unplug the positive terminal and tough it to the still connected negative terminal for 30-60 seconds.

I am going to bet that you blew your accessory power fuse. Now you know, ALWAYS unplug the batt, even if you're being careful.

If your fuses are all good, you may need to get your PCM re-flashed at a dealer. I know that is probably a last resort for you, but that is all I can think of.

Have you tried the roller switch on the headlight assembly, maybe you shut it off by accident, although that would not affect you keyless entry and door locks.

I don't know man!

Exactly. You gotta test them. I am certain he blew a fuse.

Fixed the issue. There are 2 constant 12v wires in the wiring harness for the head unit. the guy at tech support said i only needed to connect one. he was dead wrong. i reconnected that wire and everything came to life. problems fixed

Problem Solved. Grats ! Haha a simple wire "said" to not be "needed". Priceless
