Hey everyone,

I have a 2014 4wd sport. Currently has 47xxx miles on it. I purchased in September and I'm unsure of the complete service history. I've always been OCD with maintenance on my trucks.

I am thinking about changing front and rear differential fluids and transfer case fluid.

I know front takes 75w-85 and rear takes 75w-140 with limited slip additive.

How many quarts does the front and rear differentials take? I know the transfer case is just shy of 2 quarts.

Also, is it necessary to change all these fluids at 47xxx miles? I know maintenance never hurts but then again I'm not a fan of wasting money either.

Thanks everyone!

I would change the fluids. Take a look at the magnet and inspect for metal shavings.

I guess no one on here has changed any of their fluids.

Just under 2 for the front and just over 2 for the rear, if I remember right.

Front diff - 1.5 quarts 75w90
Rear diff - 2.5 quarts 75w140
Transfer case BW44-45 or 44-44 - 1.5 quarts
*44-45 takes any ATF+4, 44-44 takes special fluid you can get at the dealer or here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007NNS95K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Couple things to note, you will need a fluid pump for the front diff. For the rear diff a fluid pump makes it MUCH easier to fill, same with the transfer case.

Update: A few of us have found new information that with the help of Hemi395.
The so called SPECIAL ATF fluid for the BW44-44 is nothing special at all it is nothing but Dex III equivalent.

You can use Any Dex III equivalent ATF or ATF +4!
FCA now allows the BW44-44 fluid for most of their T-Cases!

I did mine at 55k, just cause I wanted to. the dealer gave me the wrong fluid for the t-case even though I showed him my vin AND a pic of the t-case. I didn't figure it out until I drained the fluid, mixed with others....I had no truck for a couple days

Assuming the sport model you have is anti spin, if not then you don't need the friction modifier, which will save $$$ on fluids.

This is the old label BW44-44 Transfer Case Lubricant:

This is the newest label of the same fluid:

Notice both are the same part number but all of a sudden it's for use in multiple transfer cases. At $29/quart, I smell a money maker.

As SyN said, use any good Dex III or ATF+4. Amsoil MVATF is working perfectly in mine and at $13/quart it's cheaper and IMO a much better fluid.

Does anyone know if a 2010 4x4 sport would take the same fluids and amounts?
Thanks

A 2010 should have a NVG transfer case. The part time case takes ATF+4 but the 4Auto NVG case does take special fluid that is blue I believe....
