They should be paying for the rental. If not submit the bill to dodge along with a copy of the repair order and they should reimburse you the money. I've done that for one customer and had no problem getting a rental for them.

my gears started whining pretty bad, and were replaced 10K miles ago. No axle issues. But, I got the recall notice on this......fun.

I entered the last 8 digits of my VIN on the Dodge site and it says mine doesn't have any incomplete recalls. Maybe my 2009 wasn't included, or maybe it was already completed before I purchased it.

I think this is what happened to me only it got to the point of failure. I was going to start my own thread but saw this one. Wasn't sure if it was referencing the same recall.

They called today and said it was done, but had a vibration when they reached >50 mph on the test drive. So now they're going to order and replace the driveshaft and hopefully be done after that.

Seems the repairs went great. They did a good job at fixing the failed parts. I think it droves with less vibrations than it did when I bought it (at 48k, now at 60k). I wonder if the previous owners would off road a good bit, i still get red mud coming out of the tail gate at times. Maybe i had a bent driveshaft the whole time? I'm happy with the repairs.
