So I stopped by the dealership a couple days ago and asked if the backup sensors themselves can be painted without interupting operability. I'd seen alot of other cars with them painted so I just thought I'd ask. The tech's weren't 100% sure so they told me they'd contact dodge and ask. Well got a call today from the tech. He submitted a request to dodge engineers and they responded back that the paint would be fine, and wont interfere with anything. Awesome! They also noted that bed lining materials, like line-x and rhino probably would interfere, so stay away from those. Good to know! Glad the dude actually put the request in and got back to me, instead of BS'in me or brushing it off.

spiffy, you going to drill into your roll pan? (or did you already and I didn't notice?)

No haven't altered it yet. Going to get a couple more things painted including the door handle backplates, the sensors, and the sensor bungs first.

Here's dodged response:

Can the Sensors be painted to match my bumper? Yes, the sensors can be spray painted to match. Only use 2 fine coats of spray paint, do not use brush on paint or touch up brushes as this is too thick. Avoid using metallic paint and bed lining material on the sensors.

Hoping it'll come out looking and working great. Here's a roll pan Truckin did on a GMC, and installed painted sensors. Looks pretty good!

I'm looking into putting the backup sensors in mine, where are you hooking them up to? I don't want that LED monitor bar that comes with some aftermarket kits.

Well, my truck came with the backup sensors from the factory. It works into my EVIC and sound system. So I just have to mount them onto the roll pan, and plug in the sensor leads.
