How serious are these engine codes and what do I need to throw money at now? 0ab6cf6057de6dcd8347b3753a9b4cb8.jpg 5fed64d34c9e5dc0fc48d7c9a56147ae.jpg

For the P2135, there are two throttle position sensors the the throttle body, and this is saying they don't match. These are variable resistors in the body tied to a 5VDC supply. Could be bad cabling, connector, throttle body or PCM.

The P0113 is saying the intake air temperature sensor voltage is above the maximum expected value. Could be cables, connectors, grounds, sensors or PCM.

How serious... well if the truck still runs, I guess they are not show stoppers. You won't pass most state's inspections with those faults set.

Hi grgreagreaga,

If this is something you'll be visiting your Ram dealership to address, let us know! We're happy to keep tabs and follow up, or have a case opened for you.

Thank you but I'm out of warranty so I doubt I'll go to the dealer.

It's most likely a sensor giving how I have been having the throttle code off and on.

Dealing with this right now on my 2011. On top of those two codes I have a P2135 code. Throttle Position Sensor 1/2 correlation. I have replaced the gas pedal and the temperature sensor no luck. No luck with the dealership either. The P2135 code was new when I tried to get them to clear everything. Not sure if that one will come up on the hand held scanners. I am going to run by the part house and get them to plug in and see if that one shows up. Read somewhere that there can be codes in the PCM that you can't see with the hand held. That is why I haven't got one yet. I did try leaving the battery off all night and perform the re-learn with the throttle and I am going to get a check today. I have been doing some thinking and the lights never came on until I reset the oil change light. Seems that the process is similar for both the re-learn and reset. I will post back if the P0222 and the P2135 code disappears.
