So my 2011 2500 says on the fan shroud to grease the front drive shaft u joint every 3000 miles. So I crawled under to see, and can't find where. Is it at the transfer case end or front diff? at u joint. Don't think it's a zerk.

I remember doing that on my 07 2500. Had to go to Napa to get a special fitting for my grease gun. I could probably dig up the number if you need it.

Can't remember where for the life of me exactly where that fitting was but a search should answer that for you. It was hard to see I remember that.

Just did this to my truck. I was out the door at Oreillys for under $24. That includes Valvoline general purpose grease (talked to the dealer about this, and this is what they used), hypodermic needle grease fitting, and a grease gun. Now I am set for the life of the truck.

Was it hard to reach/find?

It was not so much hard as time consuming. Took me a couple tries rolling the truck a few inches to get the fitting facing a direction I could get to it. My skid plates were a little tough to work around, not sure if that is Power Wagon specific or not. Took about 10 minutes from start to finish.

What a shame Chrysler doesn't put hubs on their live axle front end. It seems like there would be so many benefits. I have hubs on my 85 chev k20 and they increase stub axle u- joint life so much. An added bonus is greater service intervals too.

If you jack the front driver's tire up off the ground you can simply rotate the tire until the driveshaft is in a position where you can get at the fitting.
There are a couple good YouTube videos which show where it is located.

**EDIT; I had a good look while I was under there tonight, and it really is only for 2500 & 3500's; there isn't one for the lowly 1500 (phew! one less maintenance item)
