Mods, not sure but maybe this should be a sticky?

Ram water-pump recall
by David Zatz on September 19, 2017 at 1:44 pm EDT

Ram is recalling around half a million 2013-17 pickups and chassis cabs with Cummins diesels, after discovering that trucks built with a certain water pump could, due to a bad bearing, cause an engine bay fire.

FCA US is not aware of any related injuries or accidents, and no longer uses that water pump.

Owners may have advance warning: when the bearing starts to fail, it may activate a warning light in the gauge cluster. If this happens, it should be taken immediately to the dealer.

The company’s US Recall Information Center is at (800)-853-1403. The recall appears to be global.

Yup.

FWIW I CC'd this topic into the 4thGen Cummings part of the board so those members also can see this. When I got the main message it skipped off because I'm not at the dealership anymore. Hopefully nobody has to face the bigger issue.
