I just did this this morning and I'm pretty excited about it. I, like most of you, hate having wires all over the damn place, and having the power rear view mirror made this pretty easy. I don't have any pics of the process cause when I get going on something, I don't like to stop till it's done, so sorry. I will try to get pictures of the finished product soon if I can figure out how to do it. I've seen a write up on this before (which is where I got the idea) but if anyone has questions about setting it up with a Cobra, I'll do my best to help you out.

I've had mine for 6 years now, and it continues to work strong. And thus far, I haven't gotten a single ticket. Saved me well over 20-30 times I'd have to say, not that I regularly speed. But once in a while, I wont realize I'm going 10-15 over, and it's a nice savior. Can't beat the lazer though :naughty:

I like that! I was trying to think of a simple way to do this and hadn't even thought about the mirror power source. Looks great!

I was searching for something else and found this post, and I know its old but just want to warn anyone else and RamFan2 that the Garmin's or anything else using USB is not 12V. The most it can be is 5.5VDC. I hardwired my Garmin to my snowmobile and its not hard just know what you're doing. All the parts are available at radio shack.
