Wait, you had a pro do your gates AND your girl? What did you have her programmed to do? And how did she link to your Homelink? I demand answers, sir!

RE the Home Link program...I had some trouble with my 2012 Dodge RamWith the key on to accessories...you need to clear all codes by holding the 1st and 3rd buttons on your vehicle panel at least 30 seconds....If you have a display it will read "Clearing Codes- then Codes cleared" It is good to have a new battery in the hand held transmitter. Now, hold the transmitter (2) and I mean (2) inches from the buttons in your vehicle. Press the transmitter and the button in your vehicle that you wish to program. HOLD BOTH watch the display it will read, "Learning Codes" continue holding BOTH buttons until the display shows, "Codes Learned" Release BOTH buttons....Now try the newly learned button in the vehicle-it should start the door or gate in motion

Welcome to RF!

We all know the directions, as they've been posted several times. It still doesn't work. Some openers just aren't compatible I guess as I've tried every combination and advice possible. Called Homelink and they cant even figure it out.

I'm with ya, Trup. I'm thinking it's time to ditch the P.O.S. opener we got with the house, and visit Sears on a Super Saturday to get a real garage door opener.

Homelink working now :)

Reviving an old thread, I installed HomeLink in my 2013 Ram 2500. It was plug and play since I already had the console(only lights) and a 5.0 radio so the wiring was there to plugin. I tried the other directions with no luck, my garage door is a rolling code so the instructions below worked great. On the Homelink web page I found these instructions for a 2014 Ram 2500, they show our cluster in stead of a blinking red LED:

Click on this link: HomeLink

if you cant change the mhz this is what i did .. first heres the specs 2011 ram and genie 1022....
1: i pressed and held the two out side homelink buttons untill cleared.
2: i pressed and held the number one button on the home link and pressed and held the open button untill programming was complete.
3: i pressed the number one home link button to open door and nothing.. :(
4: i pressed the learn button on the opener its self untill blinking light.
5: i pressed the number one home link button and blam
6: i danced like a morron in my driveway!!!! (it worked)

I've since traded in my 13 Ram for an 09 Challenger SRT8, had to get a new garage door opener not long after since the old one gave up the ghost, but I've not been able to get my homelink to work on my challenger. I've tried pretty much everything except calling homelink, I need to do that sometime in the not too distant future - I hate talking on the phone :puke:

Go on the Homelink website and they have a video you can select for your model car/truck and year. That's how I found my specific instructions ;-)
Kudo's to this forum too :favorites13:
